Hello, my name is Louie and I'm a Chiweenie! I know, that's a silly name for a sweet boy like me, but it's true, that's really what I am, a Chihuahua and Dachshund mix. I was probably born in 2005, although I can't really remember the year because I was just a puppy. Anyway, I was dumped at the Garland Animal Shelter. Luckily a very kind lady from Animal Allies of Texas finally came and rescued me. Otherwise, because my time was up, I would be in doggy heaven right now. I'm not ready to go there yet.... I still have A LOT of livin' to do!
I've been told that I'm a funny little guy with a big personality. I do some entertaining things to get my foster mom's attention, like chase my tail and bark. I like to sit in her lap for belly rubs, but I usually stay pretty busy playing with toys or the other little dogs in my foster home. I love to boss the big dogs around because they think they're hot stuff! I just want to remind them that really, I'm the one who's HOT STUFF, not them. My favorite dogs to play with are the little dogs, once I get to know them.
Oh, and I can run like the wind, too. Sometimes I actually run faster than any dog ever born. And I shouldn't forget to tell you that I like to give kisses and be the center of attention. Yes, I'm quite the little ham, and I'll keep you entertained for hours. Did I mention that I am terribly cute? I must be because people like to tell me that. The other thing about me is that I absolutely LOVE kids! I met this kid named Frank at the adoption that I was at recently and all I wanted to do is play, play, PLAY with him. If I could have a kid of my own that would play with me I would be oh so very happy!
Really , I have only one bad habit.... sometimes when I play I nip, but I'm learning not to. When my foster mom tells me “no biting” I stop because I really want to make her happy! But sometimes when I'm having a really good time playing I just forget. The good thing is that I'm a smart boy and before long I'll be trained not to do that anymore.
